Changelog

A running log of new features, improvements, and fixes in ProductionPlanner.io.

v1.5

Blog post

  • Call sheets: New admin page for sending a call sheet for any project date. Combines the day’s schedule, locations, and team roster with a configurable crew call time and a notes field. Recipients get a branded email and a generated PDF attachment. Send to the whole team or pick individuals.
  • Resource versioning: Every resource keeps a full version history. Swap in a new file or URL and the previous version stays accessible from a Versions dialog, with the uploader and date for every entry.
  • Schedule gaps and overlaps with one-click Fix: Visual indicators between consecutive schedule items call out time gaps and overlaps with a duration label (e.g. “1h gap”, “10m overlap”). Each indicator carries a Fix button that either adjusts the previous item’s duration or bulk-shifts every downstream item to absorb the gap or overlap.
  • Workspace languages: Svenska, Deutsch, and Français: The project workspace is now available in English, Svenska (Swedish), Deutsch (German), and Français (French). Each user picks their preferred language in Account Settings, or chooses “Browser default” to follow their browser’s setting. Call sheet PDFs are generated in the sender’s language with localized dates.
  • Fix: Starting from a template no longer adds the admin twice to the new project.
  • Fix: Page breaks on exported PDFs no longer split rows across pages.
  • [1.5.1] Fix: Some language fixes.
  • [1.5.1] Fix: Click to set pin on Google Maps when adding/editing locations.
  • [1.5.2] Fix: Allow more than 1 custom “Notes” pages.
  • [1.5.3] Fix: Added Lat/Long back into location editor for an alternative entry option.
  • [1.5.4] Account Settings is now a dialog that can be opened from anywhere in the dashboard.
  • [1.5.4] Note pages now keep a full history of past versions. A new History button in the editor toolbar opens a list of previous saves with the author, timestamp, and content of each.
  • [1.5.4] When you save a note that overwrites another user’s edit, a confirmation lets you know their version is preserved in history.
  • [1.5.4] When the project sidebar is hidden, the “Show sidebar” button now floats in the top-left instead of pushing the page content down.
  • [1.5.4] Fix: Guests reloading a read-only note page no longer see a mistaken “changes may not be saved” prompt.
  • [1.5.5] Fix: The “Attach resource” button in messages now opens the resource picker as expected.

v1.4

Blog post

  • Project templates: Convert any project into a reusable template and create new projects from it with one click. Schedule, budget, tasks, team structure, resources, locations, and pages are all copied; pick a new start date and all dates shift to match.
  • CSV import for the budget: Multi-step Import CSV flow to bring budget items in from a spreadsheet with column mapping and a preview step.
  • CSV import for the schedule: Same flow for schedule items, with smart name matching for team members and resources, flexible time and duration parsing, and resolution against custom schedule types.
  • Export schedule as CSV: The Export button on the schedule now offers PDF or CSV. CSV includes dates, times, durations, activities, types, breakout tracks, linked resources, and assigned team members.
  • Rich-text note pages: New custom page type for long-form notes shared with the whole project team. Rich-text editor with headings, lists, formatting, and a floating Save button. Cmd/Ctrl+S saves without leaving the keyboard.
  • Schedule editor: Enter submits and Escape cancels in inline schedule popovers (Cmd/Ctrl+Enter in the activity field). Opening an inline editor no longer re-renders the entire schedule table.
  • Cmd/Ctrl+S to save personal notes as well as new note pages.
  • Fix: Project invitations no longer fail when the invited email contains uppercase letters.
  • Fix: Templates and Archived projects moved out of the main projects list and into the side menu.
