Changelog
A running log of new features, improvements, and fixes in ProductionPlanner.io.
v1.7
- Plans and pricing: ProductionPlanner.io now has paid plans. Every organization starts on the Free plan (2 organization members, 5 project members, 2 active projects, guest links, and 10 MB uploads). The Team plan unlocks call sheets, budget tracking, custom pages, custom project branding, schedule export (PDF and CSV), API access, 20 organization members, 100 project members, 20 active projects, and 1 GB uploads. Choose the Team plan as a yearly subscription (cancel anytime) or a one-time pass that unlocks full access for 30 days — ideal for a single production run. Prices are shown and charged in your local currency where possible, and VAT is handled at checkout. Enterprise plans (more members, unlimited active projects, larger uploads, and flexible billing) are available on request.
- Project member count: The Team page now shows how many project members you have against your plan’s limit, so it’s clear at a glance how much room is left.
- Duplicate a day’s schedule: Copy an entire day’s schedule onto another day in one step. A new “Duplicate” option lets you pick which day to copy from; the items are added to the target day and re-sorted by time, with breakout tracks kept intact. If the target day already has items, you’re asked to confirm first.
- Organization logo: Upload your organization’s logo in Organization Settings and it replaces the ProductionPlanner.io logo at the top of every project page — including the read-only guest view your clients and vendors see.
v1.6
- Public API: A public REST API lets you read and update your production data from your own tools, scripts, and automations. Generate organization-scoped API keys from the new Integrations page, then create and update projects, dates, schedules, team members, tasks, budget lines, locations, and resource links over a simple, documented interface. A live, try-it-out reference is published alongside the API.
- API keys and the Integrations page: Organization members manage API keys from a new Integrations page in the dashboard sidebar. Keys stay readable after creation so you can retrieve an existing one, and revoking a key takes effect immediately.
- Workspace in Portuguese: The project workspace is now also available in Português (Portuguese), joining English, Svenska, Deutsch, and Français. Pick it in Account Settings; call sheet PDFs are generated in Portuguese with localized dates.
- [1.6.1] Tasks on the call sheet: Add your project’s task list to the generated call sheet. Turn on “Show tasks” when preparing a call sheet, with the option to hide completed tasks so the crew sees only what’s still outstanding.
- [1.6.1] Resources on the call sheet: Attach project resources to the call sheet. Pick any PDFs or images and they’re appended as extra pages, so floor plans, scripts, and reference shots travel with the call sheet in a single file.
- [1.6.1] Copy emails & download: A new option on the Send Call Sheet dialog copies the selected recipients’ email addresses and downloads the call sheet in one step, so you can send it yourself from your own email client when you’d rather not send it through ProductionPlanner.io.
v1.5
- Call sheets: New admin page for sending a call sheet for any project date. Combines the day’s schedule, locations, and team roster with a configurable crew call time and a notes field. Recipients get a branded email and a generated PDF attachment. Send to the whole team or pick individuals.
- Resource versioning: Every resource keeps a full version history. Swap in a new file or URL and the previous version stays accessible from a Versions dialog, with the uploader and date for every entry.
- Schedule gaps and overlaps with one-click Fix: Visual indicators between consecutive schedule items call out time gaps and overlaps with a duration label (e.g. “1h gap”, “10m overlap”). Each indicator carries a Fix button that either adjusts the previous item’s duration or bulk-shifts every downstream item to absorb the gap or overlap.
- Workspace languages: Svenska, Deutsch, and Français: The project workspace is now available in English, Svenska (Swedish), Deutsch (German), and Français (French). Each user picks their preferred language in Account Settings, or chooses “Browser default” to follow their browser’s setting. Call sheet PDFs are generated in the sender’s language with localized dates.

- [1.5.4] Note pages now keep a full history of past versions. A new History button in the editor toolbar opens a list of previous saves with the author, timestamp, and content of each.
- [1.5.4] When you save a note that overwrites another user’s edit, a confirmation lets you know their version is preserved in history.
- [1.5.4] When the project sidebar is hidden, the “Show sidebar” button now floats in the top-left instead of pushing the page content down.
- [1.5.4] Fix: Guests reloading a read-only note page no longer see a mistaken “changes may not be saved” prompt.
- [1.5.5] Fix: The “Attach resource” button in messages now opens the resource picker as expected.
